R-12764Job SummaryThe Director Strategic Insights leads and develops a team of analysts to deliver strategic business analysis, intelligence, and actionable insights through an integrated payor / provider lens.
The Director provides resource oversight and management of data systems utilized by the team, supervises data collection and analysis, is accountable for functional process improvement and standardization, and manages vendor relationships.
In partnership with departmental leadership, the Director develops the vision, supporting operating plan and budget for the strategic insights function.
The Director will also foster a collaborative working relationship with market research, consumer research, finance, quality, patient experience and other data/analytics and support teams within Geisinger with a goal of delivering well-rounded and complete strategic market assessments reflecting an integrated payor / provider point of view.
Job DutiesOversees the production of strategic analytics, metrics, and reports ensuring a consistent, standardized organization-wide approach and methodology.
Responsible for determining analytic needs and scoping projects by collaborating with operational, clinical, and payor stakeholders to identify business challenges/questions and find effective solutions through data analysis.
Coordinates and executes a portfolio of multiple, highly analytical projects including production and oversight of internally and externally developed demand and decision support modeling, for diverse constituents across the organization.
Synthesizes quantitative and qualitative information to inform strategic decisions and creative problem solving.
Develops analytics for measuring opportunities for new and present program initiatives.
Performs competitive market analysis and develops strategic pathways forward for growth.
Delivers actionable insights to senior and executive level business leaders via presentations and data visualization techniques.
Develops effective external market surveillance mechanisms, maintaining contemporary knowledge of community, regional and national health care landscape.
Evaluates existing analytic tools and make recommendations regarding their utility and appropriate use.
Serves as the expert on these tools and ensures optimization of their use.
As appropriate, provides training on available resources and tools.
Evaluates and monitors new or alternative decision support tools and systems.
Serves as the point person/expert for external data/analytics sources.
Identifies the need for and spearheads the development of new tools to facilitate the department's functions.
Supervises database management activities.
Develops and oversees the creation of internal planning tools and data resources.
When applicable, develops leadership views and access to tools to allow for self-service analysis and guidance on strategic intelligence, based on data and insights.
Accountable for forecasts and sophisticated model development to inform business planning and strategic decisions.
Coordinates departmental analytic resources to ensure work effort aligns with Geisinger priorities.
Identifies resources needed, assigns individual responsibilities, and holds regular meetings with project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Manages and guides the analyst team to grow their skill sets to benefit their careers and Geisinger.
Cultivates relationships with individuals in similar roles across industries and across all of Geisinger to facilitate best-practice sharing.
Leads project teams, working cross functionally, thinking both critically and strategically.
Effectively communicates relevant project information to team and administration.
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely manner.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
